Valentine’s Day at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach

January 15, 2009 by SouthBeachDaily

scarpetta1This February 14th, Fontainebleau Miami Beach has you and your loved one covered for Valentine’s Day. From delicious pre-fixe dining options available at many of the resort’s restaurants, including Gotham Steak, Scarpetta, Vida, Blade and La Côte, to decadent pastries, cakes and chocolates on hand at Solo and the delectable Chocolate Indulgence experience at Bleau Bar, to the ultimate personal retreat for two at Lapis Spa, the resort invites guests to fall in love all over again this Valentine’s Day.

Chef Scott Conant’s Italian restaurant Scarpetta will offer “Down to the Last Bite.”  Guests can indulge in a specially created four-course dinner menu including a choice of appetizer, pasta, entrée and dessert, along with a personal gift from Chef Conant.  Dinner is priced at $98 per person.  Scarpetta’s a la carte menu also will be available.  For reservations call 305-674-4660.

“Tell the Chef to OMAKASE!” at Blade Sushi.  Omakase, a Japanese phrase meaning “It’s up to you,” puts the choice in the chef’s hands.  Guests ordering omakase style can expect an innovative and surprising selection of dishes from Blade’s Executive Chef.  Dinner will be complemented by a selection of the purist sake and a variety of cocktails.  Two Valentine’s Day seatings for nine-course omakase are available at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. priced at $125 per person.  An 11-course omakase seating is available at 10:00 p.m. for $150 per person.  Please note: omakase is a one-on-one interaction with a chef, available only at the Sushi Bar.  Blade’s a la carte menu also will be available for table service.  For reservations call 305-674-4690.

Gotham Steak invites you to celebrate with “Love… Raw,” an exquisite pre-fixe dining experience at Chef Alfred Portale’s modern American steakhouse, including fresh seafood, specialty cuts of meat – some aged over 60 days – and more than 500 wines from around the world.  “Love…Raw” is priced at $95 per person.  For reservations call 305-674-4780.

“Heart & Soul” at Vida will serve up a delectable Valentine’s Day four-course dinner as well as selections from its a la carte menu.  Capturing the essence of the glamorous history at Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Vida’s cuisine is influenced by Florida, California, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Brazil and the Caribbean. The “Heart & Soul” pre-fixe, four-course menu is priced at $48 per person.  For reservations call 305-674-4730.

St. Tropez meets the American Riviera at Fontainebleau Executive Chef Sean O’Connell’s La Côte.  Inspired by the Côte d’Azur, La Côte is a chic, two-level restaurant situated on the Atlantic Ocean, offering guests the flavorful cuisine of the South of France, as well as a lively DJ inspired bar scene with fashionable cocktails.  Guests can tantalize their taste buds with a specially prepared four-course Valentine’s Day dinner priced at $65 per person.  For reservations call 305-674-4710.

Solo, Fontainebleau’s chic patisserie, will whip up decadent temptations with an array of freshly prepared pastries, cakes and chocolates.  These pastries, which have been synonymous with Fontainebleau since its original 1954 opening, have attracted customers from around the globe. Unlike its name, these Valentine’s Day sweets of the Gods should not be enjoyed SOLO.  Take out orders can be made in person or by calling 305-674-4740.

There’s no better way to a lover’s heart than through chocolate.  Fontainebleau’s Chocolate Indulgence is an ode to the true chocolate aficionado, with 80 different variations of cocktails, coffees, sweet and savory delicacies specially prepared by Executive Pastry Chef Jean-Marie Auboine.  Set in the see-and-be-seen BleauBar, the sinfully delicious Valentine’s Day Chocolate Indulgence is priced at $75 per guest, including a half bottle of champagne.

For those choosing to entice and soothe the body and soul, Fontainebleau’s 40,000 square foot, two-story Lapis Spa provides guests with a truly transformative and engaging spa experience.  Lapis Spa Valentine’s Day favorites include the DUETS, which offer the ultimate personal retreat for two in the privacy of a spacious, oceanfront spa suite designed to ensure complete mental, physical and spiritual comfort.  Additionally, Lapis Spa offers an array of romantic treatments and Lapis Day Retreats including The Invigorator, The Tease and more.  For appointments and gift cards call 866-750-4772.

Valet parking for all of these romantic excursions is $10 with outlet validation.  For room rates and reservations, please call 800-548-8886.  For additional information on Fontainebleau Miami Beach, visit the website at www.fontainebleau.com.
