Surface Magazine, in association with the Gansevoort South Hotel presents The Surface Lounge at Gansevoort South Hotel, a 3-day lounge during the famed Art Basel Miami Beach. Eighteen stories above the ocean, the Gansevoort rooftop is a tropical playground featuring a 110-foot-long swimming pool on a 26,000-square-foot, palm-fringed Brazilian Ipe deck, with inspiring city and ocean views.
During the day on Thursday, December 4th, Friday, December 5th and Saturday, December 6th between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM, The Surface Lounge will host a 5,000-square-foot VIP area illuminated and furnished by Gandia Blasco. The Lounge will also offer respite and refreshment for Art Basel participants scurrying to events and galleries during the day. Guests will enjoy VIP amenities including a specialty cocktail and bar menu designed by STK restaurant and Stolichnaya Vodka. In addition, the Surface Lounge will give guests the opportunity to view a select collection of works acquired by the Guggenheim Museum Young Collectors Council (YCC), which will be displayed across 15 flat-panel televisions throughout the space.
The Surface Lounge welcomes the media to use the space as an outpost to conduct interviews with artists, live remotes and capture original content. Free wireless internet connection will be available.
